This is a general list of the products that are sold as hormonal products. You can use the search box in the upper left corner to find information about a specific product.
Some of the ingredients that are included in a hormone product are listed in order of importance to their effects on the body. The first two ingredients on the list are what you think of when you see the word "hormone." You can find other words for the ingredients here. The second ingredient, called "estrogen" (I use this term generically), is also one of the most common words used in the medical profession to describe the effect of sex hormones. A product with only estrogen listed is a hormone only product, which means the only hormones you will get are estrogen and progesterone. Some people might think they will get only estrogen, but they might not. You are going to be receiving the same hormones as the rest of your body and the body can make its own hormones. As a general rule, if your hormones are only one per day, you are probably getting them as a form of contraception. There are two types of products that come with these hormones: vaginal birth control and transdermal contraceptive patches.
